The Transplantation of Human Organs (Amendment) Act, 2011, has made appointment of a Transplant Coordinator mandatory before a hospital is registered as a transplant center. This means that there is a huge requirement for trained transplant coordinators in the country. It is well established that a well-trained and knowledgeable Transplant Coordinator is vital for a successful organ donation and transplantation programme in any transplant centre.

As more and more hospitals take up organ donation and transplantation activities in India, and newer advancements are being made in the field, it is highly essential for the transplant coordinators to constantly develop and upgrade their skills. Our alliance through its conferences and workshops, offers huge opportunities for transplant coordinators to upgrade their soft skills as well as technical knowledge.
